Does this sound normal for a RM parcel delay?

Post by livrodxx »

Hi everyone,

I ordered an item 2 weeks ago and it was dispatched Sunday 31st Jan first-class small parcel so I obviously received no tracking information. I have still not received the item (I live in the North East of England) I have tried contacting RM through Twitter and also the retailer but neither are replying to me.

No it doesn't sound normal.

If it hasn't arrived in the time you contracted with them, you should claim from the retailer. If that doesn't work, get a chargeback via your credit card.

No point pursuing Royal Mail over it, you have neither a contract with them nor anything they can use to investigate the issue.

Thanks. I asked someone in my street today and she told me her deliveries have not arrived either and she hasn't seen a postman in the street for over a week, so I'm hoping it is just delayed and not actually lost

In that case, there could be local delays. Might be worth asking down at the local delivery office, or politely asking a passing postie if you see one.

so my first round of post came today for the first time in over a week - it was just the letter round and one small letterbox sized box parcel, holding out hope my bigger items will come whenever a delivery round is due
