Hi folks,
I posted a parcel via RM special delivery on Monday 14th Dec, and it seems to be stuck on "sender preparing item" since then.
Is there a special delivery backlog that has yet to be cleared? I'm quite worried now!
Cheers

Re: Manchester MC Special Delivery delays?
Manchester has cleared all SD mail every day and on every shift. We have no backlog. Please post the number of the item if you have it.

Re: Manchester MC Special Delivery delays?
At Manchester on Monday your item posted at M19 2WN at 1718Hrs. You may have handed it over on Saturday after the last collection from that Post Office. On Monday night due to the high volume of SD items received on Monday, SD items were not scanned out of the mail centre and was this was probably the same at a lot of MC. As the late shift cleared all items on hand, I would suggest from where you sent the item to, the issue you have is with the Sheffield MC, who to be honest has been a disaster area over this week and the last few weeks. I can assure you that the item has left Manchester.

Re: Manchester MC Special Delivery delays?
I had a special next day delivery sent on Wednesday.
Usually it would be here Thursday.
Buy its sat at Manchester "in transit"
Today is Sunday and it's still there, meaning it's definitely not coming tomorrow.
So Tuesday is the earliest I can hope to see it.
I get there are strikes, which is why I ordered before the strike action.
It just didn't move from Manchester.
It looks like it's on a truck ready to leave. But I doubt that will happen until tomorrow night, meaning I won't get a NBMDD for 7 days.
I even spoke to RM who said they were still delivering SD through the strikes. But mine hasn't moved.
I have all of my stuff sent SD if it's important because I trust it.
But after this long wait and paying £9 I undoubtedly won't be able to claim back because it was "during a strike" which it wasn't.
It was posted early enough on Wednesday to be here Thursday. It's probably the second time it's happened, both times were Manchester.
I assume it's a large sorting centre I'm the middle of the UK.
I just wish the guarantee was actually a guarantee. Because they said they'd not honour the 1pm deadline, but nothing about the guarantee for next day delivery.
Frustrating when you're waiting ofln something you need.
I understand your right to strike. I just don't know why I didn't get my package next day as guaranteed.
