TODAY'S DRAMA - Imported packet worth less than a tenner 'Presented to Customs'

Post by wapsbasm »

Hi Guys,

After one too many Grey Cards Of Financial Ruin through my letterbox, I now make sure that anything that I buy from abroad is worth less than £15 to try and save myself the hassle of a customs going-over (at least until Jan 1st :mad).

Anyway, according to RM Tracking a completely innocuous item from China that cost £9.70 has been 'Presented to Customs for assessment'. I know this is most likely a random check and just the luck of the draw, and it doesn't necessarily mean I'll get stung in the wallet, but it's been sat there for over a week now with no forward progress. I'm just wondering if any of you can give me any idea how long this might take.

I know, 'Extraordinary Times', and all that, but this is pretty annoying when there's nothing dodgy about this package.

Thanks for any replies.
