Delays in Cardiff
Hello I posted an item to Cardiff by first class recorded delivery. The tracking is yet to be updated as delivered. Can anyone advise if there are delivery delays here? The item was posted from middlesbrough. Thanks

Re: Delays in Cardiff
Think theres delays everywhere bud. My friend had a special delivery packet take 3 days to arrive. Me myself have been waiting over 2 weeks for a parcel to arrive from the uk to ireland. About 4 weeks ago it was only taking 3 days to arrive. Been over 2 weeks now. Theres definitely delays

Re: Delays in Cardiff
They most probably will try and get a refund. It happened to me. I sent the item, its stil on its way, tracking shows that it was accepted at post office. Being a recorded item that is all it shows until its delivered. They have since requested a refund and im probably going to be 100 quid out of pocket, and the item will arrive too.
Its all down to covid and delays. Im not selling anything on ebay anymore until it all dies down

Re: Delays in Cardiff
That is true for Inland Signed For. But you said in another thread that you sent it International Signed For, which should generate more tracking points. Do you want to copy and paste the tracking number or full tracking information into a post on here so we can take a look?Jamesbailey22 wrote: ↑27 Nov 2020, 18:03I sent the item, its stil on its way, tracking shows that it was accepted at post office. Re: Delays in Cardiff
I do have several items coming. One item im on about particularly is from the uk coming to ireland. Was posted on 13th november and the only tracking available is " accepted at post office" . It does say on royal mails site " international tracked and signed" but i thought there may be more tracking info than that.
Its been more than 2 weeks with no delivery.
Im under the assumption that the seller has posted it to me with uk postage? Instead of paying for actual uk to ireland postage?

Re: Delays in Cardiff
The next tracking entry is supposed to be at the local Mail Centre when they've received the item from the Post Office where it was posted

Re: Delays in Cardiff
Let me edit my post quick. I think i made things confusing.
Im expecting a parcel from the uk. The seller who sent me the item has used international tracked and signed. The tracking number he provided me just says
" Accepted at post office"
And that's it. The date it was accepted was 13th November and hasnt moved yet.
Im assuming it is just a signed and tracked item but the only tracking update will be once ots delivered to me in Ireland? Or is it somehow messed up and potentially lost somewhere in the mail system

If you use Royal Mails track and trace service it tells you which service they used.

Tracking no. KN160824373GB
We have your item at Cardiff MC and it's on its way. We normally expect to deliver to your address between 11:10am - 3:10pm.
I live around 250 miles away and it now 18:20 so I have a feeling there are issues at Cardiff.

Re: Delays in Cardiff
I scan in tracked at my office and some items are coming through 4 or 5 days late. Covid is hitting hard at the moment.
