Well that's interesting. We don't really have the resources or vehicles for that - but today we sent a vehicle out on what must have been a 40/50 mile round trip taking about 1 1/2 hours for just 3 - 9 o'clockers. Still missed the 9 deadline on one so is it cost effective? - I don't think we should be wastng resources like this when the packet bays are overflowing.

9 o clock special delivery
The 9 o clock specials that I get on my round get delivered between 10 and 10.30.am, I usually have at least one or two a day.
I tell each customer to claim the cost of postage back but I dont know if
they do.
The post office just dont care that they cant deliver the goods on time but
they will still take the money

The last dum at our place used to have the 9ams allocated to the walkholders!!!!! he said it was cheaper to pay the compensation than pay the overtime it had been costing to clear them ALL every day!!! this is same twat who said we had our best xmas EVER last year, cost wise!!!!
I mean you would have if you put no extra collections in!!!
the rural drivers had postmasters chasing them around the countryside in their own cars with bags of mail etc!!!!
thank f**k he's not here this year!!!! regards dongash one of the 77% :cfo :cfo :lfo :lfo :lfo :lfo :lfo

The drivers at my office take the 9am'ers out regardless of size, most of them are for businesses, which are normally the ones that come back into Callers as the businesses arn't open. For some reason the 'customer' always thinks that these 9am'ers will get delivered at dot on 9am

So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
