Please help. Very confused !!! Parcel says departed heathrow. Wll it go to HWDC or ParcelForce coventry?

Hi this is my tracking number CJ455598315US. USPS says it left heathrow at 10.47 am on Friday 20th..

Now i heard some stories of delays recently of up to 90 days, some 23 days, some 11, some 15. So i have no clue what to expect.

My main question, is will my parcel be at the parcelforce coventry depot for customs, or does it go to HWDC for customs? I been seeing different answers and i just wish i knew where it was and how long it may take.

I don't think there is any hard and fast way of knowing in advance whether it is going down the Royal Mail or Parcelforce route. In general, parcels under 2Kg will go to RM and parcels over 2Kg will go to PFW, but there are exceptions. For instance, certain USPS services may need to go via PFW due to the terms and conditions at the USPS end. However, in this case RM's tracking says that this is a PFW item.

I can't see why it matters which way it is going, and you can't influence the route.

Yes i know its parcelforce but i was wonderinf whether that meant it was in coventry or heathrow. It makes a difference in my communication with parcelforce

People think that but the process isn't based on what the item is. Anything that raises suspicion is checked, but also random batches of mail (as in bags and containers) are selected by Customs where every item is checked to make sure its

Safe
Legal
Not subject to VAT.

So, unfortunately, it being a book won't have any effect on how quickly it gets through the system if its in one of those batches.

Generally, if a batch is selected they do each item one by one until they clear it, normally it takes about a week to 10 days to pass customs, but now with the huge delays, it can be 3 to 4 weeks going by what other posters are saying.
