parcel says delivered and signed as NEXT

parcel says delivered and signed as NEXT!!! - i have cctv and checked and no postman came today but my parcel says DELIVERED and signed for by NEXT. Very worried as it is £300 gpu card. I cannot even win an ebay dispute as it says delivered! What should I do and why did the postie sign NEXT????

Go to your local delivery office tomorrow (find it on the royal mail website) with your tracking number and they will locate where this happened and why.

ok thanks I wonder if it is open due to covid lockdown. We are tier 3 tomorrow lockdown starts full on lockdown! I guess I could ring? Thanks for your help does anyone know why he signed NEXT? Do you think he scanned the parcel put it in his van for NEXT day??? Maybe I should wait 1 day do you think so? Thanks again.

Dont worry about the lockdown, all Royal mail services are open (check times on webpage)
As for signing next not sure, we are now instructed to sign xp1 due to covid.

Is it coming from abroad? If it is, maybe there's a customs charge. What's the tracking number?

hi guys so I went to the D.O. manager is looking into it. but he saw something. I gave him the tracking and he called over a collegue looking puzzled he said to his collegue "somethings not right with this one" - he told me he suspects duplicate tracking??? but that he guaranteed me he would track this down for me. What is duplicate tracking and will I still get my parcel? He seemed very confident it would be sorted today. Said he would ring me.

Duplicate tracking is where the sender has used the same tracking label on two separate parcels.

ok. i still don't know how that would happen unless he printed them out and made a cock up! i suspect then that seeing as he used the correct address my parcel should still arrive? just the tracking is cocked up but the address is correct. So I guess I will wait and see it's due today or tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

Multiple reasons for duplicate tracking if it is in fact duplicate tracking.
Sometimes a sender will use the same tracking number on more than one parcel in order to try and avoid being charged postage on both. It could also be a mistake. The signature being NEXT could be that the parcel was addressed to a NEXT store, or the addressees name was NEXT could also be a misspelling.

Another scenario is that the sender has sent you the incorrect tracking number. The local RM manager can pinpoint where and by whom the parcel was delivered so that will should clear this up for you.
