I have sent a letter to the wrong address but the post code is correct. Will it get there.

Wrong address but correct post code

It might. If the postie is regular and both addresses are on the same round then there is a chance he will notice the error.

Otherwise it will delivered to the address on the the envelope as the final stage of delivery is by hand. Its unlikely that a postie knows every postcode well enough to realise that the item was meant for a different address than the one they see on the item.

I'd say the chances are 50/50 either way.

Thanks for the reply.

The address written does not correspond to any address in that area. The number was right the name of the building is wrong. The road & everything else, including post code is correct. Does change things for the better or worse?

gives it a better chance. If you put a return address on then it will be returned to you if the postie doesn't recognise the address.
