I haven't receive my parcel
Hi, I have been expecting a parcel from the UK with reference number: RZ316633896GB posted to my home address in Nigeria from the UK since 02/06/2020 which has not been delivered. I've been tracking it on a daily basis for the past two months and it remains in transit. Please, I'll like you to update me on the progress on my parcel. Thank you.

Just to make sure you understand that we are not an official Royal Mail site so all answers are unofficial and unendorsed.
From the tracking available it looks like its stuck in Customs in Nigeria, however I am not certain if NiPost, who will act as Royal Mails agent, do actual deliveries to addresses or Post Boxes at Post Offices.
It may worth checking with them first.

Thanks for the response. Ive tried tracking the parcel on NIPOST website but it showed no result. Could it be that the item is still in the Uk?

What's the contents of it? Some things can cause problems (items not allowed into a particular country or lithium batteries which can cause problems in a lot of cases)

It doesn't contain any of those, the content is an Apple laptop computer or is laptop a contraband? Im very cofused at this point and I've reached out to Royalmail a number times with no response.

Even if the battery is not present in the package it's probably been stopped for extra safety checksharwal01 wrote:It doesn't contain any of those, the content is an Apple laptop computer or is laptop a contraband? I have had a few Apple laptops. They all had a lithium battery, in fact it is hard to see what else they could use to power them, other types of battery aren't up to the job. In my first one the battery was removable, in more recent ones the battery was sealed in to the body of the laptop.
Lithium batteries are not 'contraband' (not a word that is used with respect to the mail) but they are subject to strict controls for safety reasons, having in the past destroyed several planes and killed a number of postal workers. Controls include packaging requirements and carrying a special sticker that identifies them as containing dangerous goods, this needs to be applied by the Post Office when sending. This is all in international law, each country has enacted it into national law with slight variations.
If the packaging requirements were not met then Royal Mail should normally have noticed and refused to put it on the plane. It might be that Nigerian customs give extra scrutiny to all packages containing lithium batteries: we know that other countries do this.
The other potential problem is the customs declaration. If laptop is probably worth more than £270, the parcel should be carrying the rarely used CN23 customs declaration, rather than the common (and shorter) CN22 customs declaration. If the sender has not applied the correct documentation then it is likely to have a difficult journey through customs.

I'm just very confused, the laptop has a battery type of lithium polymer Voltage: 7.6V Capacity: 7200mAh / 55Wh Battery which is in compliance with the IATA’s regulation that “Lithium ion (rechargeable) batteries are limited to a rating of 100 watt hours (Wh) per battery” and it can be carried on a passenger plane. It's almost 3 months since it has been in transit and I haven't heard a thing from NIPOST or ROYAL MAIL. I really don't know what to do again?

Given the length of time, the sender should claim for loss. If it is something you bought online then you should claim from the seller.
