You'e not alone. I took out 3 days worth of mail today. Never had the fortune of one of these 'easy' Mondays yet - can't see it happening.yubin282 wrote:It seems it's only me who gets hammered on a Monday. That's because I've always got at least 2 days of mail.
Since this craziness started at the end of march i've worked 76 days and out of those i've only had 4 'normal' days.

Even accounting for the mail already in the frame, I still put another 400 letters in, easily. About 100 packets, and 25 large parcels.

I quite like it, I can prep in my d2ds for the week and stroll around on my route. I know the rest of the week will be hell but it was before the quiet Mondays anyway! its nice to begin the week with a relaxed start.

Why have they cut down on Sunday staff?SpacePhoenix wrote:Probably down to there being less staff in MCs on Sundays
(Obviously distancing measures come into it, but why Sunday in particular?)

There's always been less staff on Sundays (and I believe a good chunk of the Sunday staff are OT or maybe SA anyway)sindba wrote:Why have they cut down on Sunday staff?SpacePhoenix wrote:Probably down to there being less staff in MCs on Sundays

It never ever will. They're too thick to realise. Give them 3 deliveries to do they'll just start even earlier and run even quicker.Intercityfirm1970 wrote:Three loops own and one loop lapsing taken back today funny watching mugs running out with no break then getting sent back out on returning early.. There are no DSA arrivals into the MC's now on Saturday morning so less staff are needed at weekend as DSA was a large proportion of what they did. The knock on of this is that it will impact on Monday delivery volumes.SpacePhoenix wrote:There's always been less staff on Sundays (and I believe a good chunk of the Sunday staff are OT or maybe SA anyway)sindba wrote:Why have they cut down on Sunday staff?SpacePhoenix wrote:Probably down to there being less staff in MCs on Sundays
