HWDC Langley from NL

I have already read the HWDC Langley page, and any threads I could find.

I left my Provisional license in Holland by accident and had it sent back to me in the UK on Monday last week. I believe the sender accidentally neglected to choose expedited shipping, although he says he is certain he did. The receipt said 2-3 days. A week later and it’s still not here.

I need it quite urgently because I have my theory and practical exams booked for the end of this week. If I miss them there will be a massive wait, until October/Nov for another opportunity.

It’s only a drivers license, in a Green small envelope, going to St Helens.

These are the questions you might be able to help with:

1. Does this Status mean it’s ‘flagged’ and held in customs to be checked, or is it just an indication that it has landed? “This item has been received at LANGLEY HWDC, United Kingdom.”

2. Does anyone know what delays I can expect currently in August 2020, for it to arrive? Days? Weeks? Any ballpark figure is a big help.

3. Am I correct in assuming tracking won’t update when it leaves Langley/is out for delivery... or that it might not update at all even when it is finally delivered?

Looks like it's in UK customs awaiting clearance. It's totally random how long items take at Langley. Some make it through in hours, some take months.

Tracking should update when it's left customs and on it's way to your local delivery office.
