I am waiting for a parcel from the US. This is a regular thing and I usually have no issues.
My tracking via USPS says
Your item departed a transfer airport in HEATHROW, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM on July 12, 2020 at 5:53 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination
My Royal mail tracking latest update is
Item leaving overseas 4th July.
So it appears my item was received in the UK 12th July. My items usually arrive a day or two later but it's now been over a week with no update.
Is there a delay with Heathrow customs? Is my parcel lost? Is there any way I can contact Royal Mail for an update?
Appreciate anybody taking the time to read this.

You could try @royalmailhelp on twitter for an update but they'll probably say the same thing.

Lost? Probably not.
Delays at customs? Yes and no. As with many other threads on here, this item has probably been selected for extra checks, and there do seem to be delays on that.
There are lots of ways to contact RM, see their website, but if the problem is as above then they won’t be able to tell you anything, because customs don’t give any information away to anyone.

Is my item lost?
In my case the parcel departed SAN FRANCISCO, UNITED STATES on June 28 2020 and then departed a transfer airport in HEATHROW, LONDON on July 5, 2020. Since then, there was no other update. 
So, I totally understand how you feel.
