Hi
I mistakenly tried to send my passport to Lagos from UK to get my visa renewed, via the Post Office (Signed for service), versus DHL or UPS.
Due to the delay at Langley HWDC, is it possible to have cancel and return the parcel.

No, it is against the law for any postal carrier to remove your item from the mail system except for certain specific reasons (e.g. illegal contents). Even if it wasn’t illegal, it would be quite difficult to do.
This item will not be affected by the delays at Langley, because customs only check inbound mail. However, as Nigeria has banned international flights this may mean reduced freight capacity, and thus delays in getting on the plane.
Some private carriers ban passports from their international services, always best to check before sending.

Thanks a lot for the response.
Thats a shame, Id hoped that because there is a a unique identification/reference number, it could be identified and returned to sender.

I don`t think someone will even dream of trying to find a small parcel in a sea of them, with or without tracking number, even if it was legal...
