Items lost or stuck in customs limbo?

Hi I’m new to the forum, I have a parcel I’m awaiting from the US that was last updated on 14 May 2020

Processed Through Regional Facility. Your item was processed through our LOS ANGELES CA INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER facility on May 14, 2020 at 2:27 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

Time passed & it has never updated since! I contacted the seller who immediately sent out a replacement, the issue is this second parcel is also saying the same thing!

So my question is where are my parcels? Are they in customs? Lost? Still in the US? In the UK? I’m so confused and was wondering if any one else here had ever experienced this?

I am currently in a similar situation. What does yours say on the Royal Mail tracking site? Leaving destination country?? I would imagine like mine it's stuck in customs mine was fully tracked express delivery and dropped off the radar as soon as it was approaching England

Yes on the Royal Mail tracking site it states in transit ‘This item is now leaving the originating country. More information will be available when it arrives in the UK.’

Parcel one has been saying this since 14th May and the second since 24th June.

I’m beginning to worry I will never receive my items.

My package says our item departed a transfer airport in INTERNATIONAL, LOS ANGELES, UNITED STATES and it's said that for 5 days now. I was expecting a notification once it arrived in the UK before it went through customs. I also have no idea what's going to happen.

USPS are unusual in that they normally track items off the plane in the UK. If they aren't being tracked at this end then either they are stuck in a backlog caused by the shortage of flights, or USPS have changed their policy on scanning at this end.

Most other countries don't scan at this end. So a parcel from, say, Poland, won't be visible between going on the plane in in Warsaw and leaving UK customs.

thanks you yes my Express tracked from Poland has no updates since the 1st of july. They must have a very large backlog of work? Both items I ordered in feb from the same seller got to me in 4 days.

I am expecting 2 packages from UK sent since first week of march and its july already but i did not receive it yet. I contacted our local post ofc and accordingly it did not arrive saudi arabia yet. Whenever i trrack the item in royal mail it always says leaving the UK from Langley HWDC but it has been 4 months already and up to now it didnt arrive yet. i am worried about my package already. Tracking numbers are RN527981433GB and RN527981708GB, please try to help me in thye whereabouts of my package and send it to me.

What country are they going to and what's in them?

The two packages went into Saudi customs months ago and didn't come out. It could be that they are lost or delayed, but more likely that they have been seized by customs. As Space Phoenix said, what was inside?

We can try to help you understand what happened, but we can't help you get it as such. We are not Royal Mail.

The sender should make a claim for lost parcels from Royal Mail. If this is something that you bought online you should claim from the seller.
