International Post & Customs Question

Post by scratspost »

Please accept my apologies in advance if this sort of question has been posted before but I am just looking for some advice and further information.

I purchased an item from Florida via Ebay (UK) on the 9th June 2020. I was provided the tracking number etc and the details from the tracking it had reached the UK (Heathrow) on the 12th June. Unfortunately from the 12 of June onwards there has been no update for 18 days! If I enter the tracking code within the Royal Mail website it states it is still leaving the U.S. I don't believe it is still in the U.S. and it is here in the U.K.

Is this unusual for this amount of time with still no update? I know contacting Royal Mail will be futile if it is still stuck in customs. I just want to know how much further time I should let pass before I put in a claim with PayPal etc.

Thank you.

No, it isn't that long to go this length of time without an update: see other threads on this site,

How long you have to wait to make a claim depends on your contract with the seller / PayPal terms and conditions.

Thank you for the update. I have checked a few other posts here so I guess it just a case of patience and fingers crossed! :)
