Okay so i sent out 2 parcels both special delivery guaranteed 1pm
the tracking numbers are
JS030422461GB
JS030422475GB
I sent both parcels on saturday 20/06/20
however both tracking ids state
Parcel accepted ( These were the times I handed the parcels over the counter)
Sender preparing item
Since then the tracking hasn't updated at all
I've tried calling royal mail but just get an automated message of We've got it More information will be available as it travels through our network.
but shouldn't the tracking be updating relatively quickly if it's special delivery , there's been no updates since the parcel was accepted and now i'm worrying the item is either lost or stolen

Nothing wrong at all here. These items were posted at 14:00 on Saturday, which is after the last Royal Mail collection of the week. The parcels sat at the Post Office all weekend: there were no new tracking events during this time because they were not handed over. Tracking resumed this afternoon afternoon, showing them arriving at the local mail centre and progressing on through the system. This is all exactly as expected for items posted at that time on a Saturday.
If you want to send an item guaranteed for the next day, always check the last posting time. This varies from branch to branch. Generally it is between 16:00 - 18:00 on weekdays and 11:00 - 12:00 on Saturdays for Royal Mail, but it can be much earlier in rural areas, and Parcelforce is different.
