What's the tracking number? Best guess as to why it's running late without seeing the tracking is that when it was posted it missed the last collection from where it's posted. By now it should be at your local delivery office

Sorry no, especially if you live in an area with a Large Delivery Office. There are literally thousands of parcels travelling through a delivery office and without it being scanned into a collection point (the callers office) it's impossible to know with any certainty exactly where one individual parcel is. They can move around our buildings from minute to minute. Also without delivery being attempted, there is no red card which you need (with proof of ID) to collect.

However, if delivery fails, then the caller's office hold on to all items for 18 days. During this time you can nominate another address for it to be delivered to (as long as its an address served by the Delivery Office) or request re-delivery to the original address when you know someone will be in all day to accept it.

We are not an official Royal Mail site, just Royal Mail employees who can offer advice. There might be many reasons
why your tracking has not been updated since 2/1/20. Can you provide the tracking number of the item...?

Hi,

I ordered a gift for a friend and paid for 48hr tracked service.

It was dispatched Tuesday 26th May and has been stuck at MMC since Wednesday last week.

I would like an update and refund on the postage.

Many thanks,

It would be helpful if you told us what service you used. Some of the pre-paid parcel return services are slow and have limited tracking, in which case there is little to worry about. However, if it was Special Delivery then I would be concerned.

Also, this is only a problem for you if you paid for the postage. If the retailer paid, it is their problem.
