Status meaning

Does anyone had this remark under their tracking status before?

'This is the final status. Carrier doesn't provide further tracking updates'

under International Tracked / International Tracked & Signed.

The last update was 'Item Despatched to Heathrow Worldwide DC'

I haven't seen that status before. But in some countries, those services have no tracking once Royal Mail puts the item on the plane. This is because the local postal service's IT is incompatible with RM's, or non-existent.

then i guess my parcel might be transiting in some countries which don't have the tracking system?

Or they do have a tracking system, but it is incapable of exchanging information with the RM system.

because my RM parcel was sent from UK to Korea, and it seemed that the parcel is now tracked with courier Singapore Post. but when i search my reference number under Singapore Post, it reflect as no such item. My guess is the parcel is transiting to Korea via Singapore and Singapore Post tracking system is incapable of exchanging information with the RM system?
