Help! I've tried calling the mail centre at Manchester on 0161 837 2440 but no one picks up. I sent a special delivery item to a postcode starting ML1 but it has been entered on the special delivery label as M1 so instead of going to Lanarkshire in Scotland it has ended up in Manchester. The full address on the label is correct but I am unsure as to whether the postcode has been written M1 or ML1. The parcel is currently at Manchester and I would like to know if the delivery centre will likely send it on to the correct adrress in Scotland as per the label?
I am especially concerned because the parcel contains live shrimp and they need to be delivered otherwise they will die in transit.
I did not put a return to sender address on the parcel unfortunately.
The tracking number is JS023898136GB
I'm really worried about the livestock in the parcel dying and I'm feeling really anxious about it. Can someone possibly help please?

the fact that they scanned it twice at Manchester, and if the rest of the address is ok (except post code) then I think it will be forwarded and the chances are on the better side that it will be delivered tomorrow. That's not certain though. If you can keep an eye on tracking tonight and if heads towards Scotland everything will be okay.

Items was found last night and handed to the late shift for despatch today. The delay is a regular problem with people using lower case letters when sending mail to a ML postcode. Also to various other postcodes.

Thank you so much for your help, I've been really stressed about it. I rang RM customer service and they said they couldn't help and despite the address being correct apart from the postcode they were sure it would be end up in a pile of undelivered items if not able to return to sender because you're not allowed to make edits to any part of an address on a parcel. They did however log it but not sure if anything was going to be done.
