Hello all,
I am distraught at the moment. I broke my phone the first week of lockdown and have been hesitant to send it away. I was being chased by the insurance company but was nervous to send my phone, unlocked, by mail. But realise it needs to be done.
So I sent my phone special delivery on Monday, arrival for Tuesday. And it made it to Medway MC, but no updates since. I’ve called customer service and they said there’s nothing they can do at this point until it’s been 5 working a days and considered missing.
I am a wreck. I was so hesitant to send it and now pretty sure it’s been stolen. Year old iPhone unlocked. So upset and don’t know what to do.
What are the chances of it still being delivered? It’s been 4 days now. How does it get to a sorting facility and then no updates?!
I am at such a loss and so upset this has happened.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated

Missing Special Delivery
For a special delivery to go missing is very very rare. In fact with Covid at the moment it wouldn't surprise me if it has actually been delivered, but because the company get so many, the system has updated yet.
For companies that get a lot of special deliveries, it is common for Mail Centres, rather than Delivery Offices, to deliver them directly. I think this is what has happened. I would consider giving the company a call to see if they have got it, but again their systems will also be slowed down with the virus impacting on everything so please don't be that concerned if they say they don't have it yet.
My gut feeling is that everything is okay, just the system hasn't updated yet.

Missing Special Delivery
Medway have been scanning very few special delivery items both in to and out off the mail centre since the lockdown started. We get a lot from them every night and the only scan they receive is either received at mail centre or posted at counter and then nothing until it arrives with us.
