This....
There will be no imposed duty changes connected with this temporary relaxation of the USO. Any changes to these duty structures will be voluntary and must be agreed locally, utilising the IR Framework
Then this....
If no agreement can be reached existing duty structures and attendance times will remain in place and unchanged, however the focus of the Saturday delivery operation will remain on parcels only. Annual Leave Reserves in this case will be re-aligned to Monday – Friday attendances to enhance USO coverage.
Funny as.... :left:

This document is dated Friday 1st May but at 5pm on Thursday 30th of April Terry was giving his big war speech.

It's almost as if they had this already in the inside pocket of their sharp suits.

Either that or you believe Rico got the word on Thursday night in Switzerland knocked off his letter to Dave who was busy knocking off a letter to Ofcom and meeting one of Boris's mates who both knocked off letters to Dave and Rico and then they all went on Zoom and knocked this off on what was left of Friday afternoon despite the fact that up until then none of them were even talking to each other.

Thats damm impressive, I can't even be arsed walking the dog on Friday afternoon.

As a last resort temporary measure I don't see that much of a problem with it. Non duty holding reserves are scarce in our area.

All reserves are non duty holding.
The clue is in the name.
Do you mean that reserves are scarce in your area?

Yes , all staff taken on for the last 12 months or so are in a pool so can be sent to any office in the area as needed but we have a couple who cover certain Waddington weeks on a regular basis

There is 30 000+ dead.
Hundreds of thousands looking at losing their livelihoods.
And we are arguing about some people being given extra Saturdays off.
f***ing embarrassing.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I'm certainly not arguing, if anything i'm pleased for them as they struggle to get saturdays off

If everyone is in we do not have enough vans. How is this to be addressed?

The point is one part of the office is protected by an agreement and the other, surprisingly enough leave reserves again... is not.

I doubt the actual clause will be used but f**k me that's blatant.

So the CWU didn't threaten strike action over the removal of the Saturday letter delivery?
There aren't posts on this board by people saying they won't move their rotational day off to accommodate this? They won't play into Rico's hands?

There is a difference between changing your rotational day off and having duty structures torn up. We were being told initially that our 9 day fortnights were becoming flat 5 day weeks (with no changes to delivery), our job shares were going etc, as well as our finish times being moved to a later time. Perhaps not an issue for you, but a major upheaval for people who need to finish at a certain time to maintain some semblance of a life outside of Royal Mail.

All your posts on this board seem to be contrary for the sake of being contrary. If you were that content, it would seem odd that you would be here at all, if you think that message boards are just people 'arguing'.

Who's arguing? For real man, what on earth are you talking about.

None of this is related to people arguing about people getting extra Saturdays off...

Also, shall we just bring the 30,000 deaths into everything now? I DELIVERED COAT HANGERS TODAY!!!! AND THERE ARE PEOPLE DYING!!!!! f***ing EMBARRASSING!!!!
