Hey guys,
So I’ve read posts about this topic but mine’s a bit different...
My parcel was sent with International track&signed on 04/21 and
I was worried because the tracking number that I was provided with didn’t work
for a total of 6 days. On the 26th (22:00) I got an update “sender preparing Item”.
Its been almost 4 days and I don’t understand how a package can be shipped (left at a po office)
and not enter the system for 9 days. What is “sender preparing item“ supposed to mean because
its already been there for 9 days.
I read that the tracking system is probably broken at this point (9 days) and won’t be able to track the whereabouts.
Is this normal? Will it eventually update? Is my package lost? Thanks :)

"Sender preparing Item" means that the sender has paid for the postage and the system has generated a tracking number but the item hasn't been posted. Quite likely with the lockdown and social distancing they've not been able to get to a Post Office to post the item

The receipt he provided said “Post by 27th” if I’m correct the system will terminate the tracking number 48h after the “post by date” if it hasn’t been posted. It’s been well beyond 48h and it’s still the same and still not terminated.

I doubt the situation is the sender hasn’t taken it the post office. I’m a seller and my international tracked parcels sent 3 weeks ago still say ‘sender preparing item’. I’ve contacted the post office and they said it was definitely taken, Royal Mail have no answers but it seems to be a common issue at the moment. However I have other parcels posted the same day international that have arrived with customer.
