Hello
I brought an item via E-Bay on 3rd April 2020. Sellers address listed as London UK. I should have received my item by between 8th to 11th April. Track and trace message sais " Sender despatching item ". That was on 6th April. I still have not received my item and contacted seller on 13th April who told me it has been sent out. I carried on checking the tracking number at Royal Mail website but no updated message. Contacted seller 3 more times and told same thing, item sent and that royal mail are slow due to corona virus. Then on the 21st April new message saying " Item Received, Jubilee MC."
My question is Does anyone know what " Sender despatching item " means, and why it would take 15 more days before it arrived at Jubilee MC.
Thank you for any help on this matter.
Darren.

Sender despatching item
I’m not an expert here, but the tracking messages change as a result of a barcode on the item being “scanned”. For whatever reason, it looks like nobody scanned your item in until 21st April. Either the sender was telling fibs and hadn’t posted it until near to that date, or it was held up somewhere in the Royal Mail network.

Sender despatching item
As far as I know the sender preparing item status is instigated by the sender purchasing the postage,so I'd say it wasn't introduced into the rm network until that scan ages later

Re: Sender despatching item
Same has just happened to me. Dropped a parcel off at the local DO on Wednesday 16th Feb, now on Monday 21st Feb, all I see on the tracking is 14:19
Sender despatching item from 2 hours after I dropped it off. Since then nothing. Yes I know we have just had a big storm, but I am now having emails from the customer as to where is my parcel etc etc.
