we used to take it to another level. called a ''pyro-pastie'...wrap some dogshit in the 'evening chronicle' (local newspaper). put it on someones doorstep and set fire to it, knock on the door and run away. then watch as the occupant opened their front door and instinctively stamped out the burning newspaper!!....kids eh? : :oops: :Very Happy

In my early teens before I had my 'paper run', I used to have a 'crisp run'. That's right, I would go round doors trying to tantalise potential customers with the latest Highlander Crisps.

"No! We only eat Golden Wonder in this house", was a memorable encounter.

And look at me now! I'm delivering 'essential' batches of crisps by the box for those in need. Who'd have thought that early training would one day be put to such vital use..

OMG i remember highlander crisps i loved the black pepper ones with the snazzy black and gold packet - happy days ! being over 60 i remember the very first fast food snack - POT NOODLE still love them to this day ,nothing better to come in to after a ten mile 'walk' :dance :dance

Bombay Bad Boy? Highlander did another couple of unusual flavours at the time. Irn-Bru and Hedgehog flavours. Yikes!

hedgehog flavour yeah i remember my kids were horrified lol - bombay bad boy , carribean jerk , brazilian barbeque anything spicy really . its nice to think of happy things during this dreadful time.

I remember when I was a boy my Dad said "You know in the future they'll have TVs that you can hang on the wall like a picture". My brother and I just sat there with open mouths, wondering...

do you remember the little packs of silverskin onion , cracker and dairylea cheese that pubs sold in the day, i remember my step dad bringing them home after a night on the beer :crazy: :crazy:
