Hi,
I need to post a letter to Vietnam, using intentional signed for service. I can print the label out on click and drop.
With the current situation, can I avoid going to the post office to protect workers and myself (elderly), and just drop it in a post box? Will the tracking/label be picked up at the sorting office still, and the tracking be picked up at some point on the royal mail route?
I can take the risk without proof of posting, as it's just a letter/no value. It just needs a tracking number to be delivered in Vietnam (even though it's just
the signed for service, in the past it's worked with this tracking number). If I post letters by normal airmail, they tend not to get delivered in Vietnam.
Thank you for any insight!

Thank you for being thoughtful.
If it's worked before and it's not important just pop it in a post box and take the chance.
It's hard to say much about foreign postal operators and how they work, chances are when the postie over there gets the letter he will know it's a signed for item.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Hi,
Haven't tried it before without getting it scanned at the post office, but yeah it's not valuable, so i've dropped in the a mail box last Friday, and will update here if tracking picks it up.
Thanks!

The letter was delivered by normal airmail. No tracking, or signature requested on delivery. But at least it arrived!
The tracking barcode on the label was even crossed out.
So for anyone else, don't add tracking/signed service unless you can get it scanned at the post office.
