I'm looking for some advice regarding an issue that's been occurring frequently for the past 3 or 4 years. For whatever reason our Postman refuses to deliver mail through the letterboxes in our block of 5 flats, situated above a shopfront on a high street. There's a communal front door and small stairway leading up to the flats, and 9 times out of 10 everyone's post is either left on the floor by the downstairs door, or sometimes if we're lucky on the mats outside our front doors.
Basically anyone walking by the property can let themselves in via the tradesman buzzer and help themselves to our post, and on several occasions post has gone missing. Notably prescription medicines for my girlfriend among others.
In short we have absolutely no faith left in the postal service as they seem willfully negligent by leaving our post in places where anyone can access it.
What are our options? We've called customer service several times already and been assured the problem will get resolved and it's still happening.

I would try going into your local Royal Mail delivery office and requesting to speak to the manager.

It looks like it, if your building is done on overtime, that explains why the posties rush and don`t post the mail through the letter boxes..There's a communal front door and small stairway leading up to the flats, and 9 times out of 10 everyone's post is either left on the floor by the downstairs door, or sometimes if we're lucky on the mats outside our front doors.

The national customer service number doesn't generally give a good response to be honest. You are advised to locate your local delivery office and either visit in person or get the local delivery office phone number from a local postie if you spot one. We are generally very helpful and the situation will get chased up quickly and sorted out if you make contact locally.
