Mail "Returned" to Germany?

Post by Kristy_Ann »

Hello All,

I sent a small padded envelope from London to a small office in Austria on December 19th. Unfortunately, when delivery was attempted on December 27th the Austrian office was closed for the holidays. According to the tracking information (LB924688924GB) the package was marked as "incorrectly addressed" although this wasn't the case. The package was marked to be returned to sender. Strangely, the package was handed over to a German service and delivered to a German address. I don't know why this was done or how they determined a German address for delivery as the return address is here in London. Do I have any chance to recover this package?

Please help!

It looks like the handed it to GLS, who is a subsidiary of Royal Mail. I would contact Royal Mail and see what they say.

GLS detailed tracking https://gls-group.eu/EU/en/parcel-track ... 24688924GB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
