Service used: International Tracked and Signed

Tracking no. RN309107515GB

Can anyone help me figure out WTF has happened to my package? It has been there for MONTHS now and the seller in Sweden is still waiting for the return so they can ship me a replacement.

I am bloody at my wits end with the lack of ability to actually phone someone at langely and talk to a real person and not a robot, or be on hold for 2 hours only for the call to drop.

Can someone please help me with what I should be doing here? Unfortunately the item is worth about £250 but I only put £50 on the 'worth' part of the tracking receipt because, well, I didn't except the thing to bloody disappear.

Please if anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,
Simon

there is no one you can speak to at Langley as its not a customer facing point so they are not set up for it.

All you can do is to call Royal Mail customer services and complain, politely. If they don't resolve it you can escalate it, and they should advise you how to do so.

Airsoft pistol, in original packaging, no (plastic) BBs or gas cans in there with it. Thing is broken and need to send it back to get a return. I filled out the claims form on the site and provided as much info as I could including reciept of the order even though I only put £40 on the 'worth'.

I'm guessing it went through a scanner and someone chucked it in the 'check later' pile and nobody has gotten around to it yet? Surely if something had happened it would be updated on the tracking? I even included a return address just incase there was an issue.,

Thanks guys.

I did this a couple weeks ago (although now I have no idea what number I used) And they said something about being a 'firearm' it would have to go by land/boat, but apparently it's still at the processing center?

Thanks again.

According to the very long restrictions entry for Sweden, some types of air gun need permission from Swedish police before sending. Did you check that your gun is not covered by that?

Well, it came from Sweden so I didn't think anything like that. I've contacted them and they said ""i have tried being in contact with the freight company but i don’t get any helpful response at all.

It seems to still be stuck in transit at the moment.

Have you as a sender made a claim on the package, that can help sometimes.""

I have ukara licence and return adress on top of parcel , i hope will reach greece this month , i put insurance of 100gbp but the whole thing costs 450 with mosfet etc. i m really dissapointed from the royal mail. its tracked and sign ... i give more time because it was christmas and maybe thats the reason of the delay... i m really stressed about this.

Looking at the country guide for Greece, it looks like it might be refused entry into Greece:

Just adding to what Space Phoenix wrote, “Sporting Guns” are allowed but need prior permission from the Greek government.

Well many times from local shops were did oredered airsoft parts and rifles, and we never had any issue, is the first time happen this to me, plus its not there while rifles it's half on parts... In case of refuse to entry that in Greece, what is there procedure? To return it back? I have return address on the parcel.

The rules on what you can buy in a shop are often different to the rules on what you can import or export via the mail. This is how governments control certain items.

I note from Royal Mail’s website that all guns, even if allowed in the mail, are subject to extra checks. When watches go for extra checks this often seems to take 2-3 weeks.

If the package is refused entry to Greece because it has *only* broken the Greek import rules then it should be returned to the address on the parcel. However, if it has *also* broken the Dangerous Goods rules then it would be destroyed. Some types of gun are banned completely from the mail, others have strict packaging rules. It is also possible that something you sent with the gun is causing a problem: the most likely issue is if the parcel also contains ammunition / gunpowder, lubricants or a compressed gas canister.

Well it was the half Lower bottom of the airsoft rifle with them gearbox on it, and the motor was removed but its was on the dame parcel, the main thing is, on tracking I have the same story that the item has been prepared for overseas, then I don't have any news where it is, how it goes, and that's why stressed me, because If reached the Greek customs then I know how to deal with them because in accordance with Greek law you cannot have a air rifle...
