Probably either most DOs want their wave 2 in a lot earlier or the local MC might have had their budget cut back

Walksorting Wave 2 is soon to be the norm. Declining letter volumes is the standard excuse.

Some batches to be done on IMPs/iLSMs instead of on CSS machines? Some batches to be walk sorted only both waves?

Highly doubt it. Won't the MC's be asked to do more sequencing once delivery MPU's are reverted back to plain old DO's again?
