Good evening,
My parcel ( mobile phone ) redmi8 arrived at LANGLEY on the 7th of November at 11.47am till then Still stuck there and no movement. What to do?
I called royal mail 3 times in different occasions and the average waiting time to get to an operator was 30-40 min. Last one was today and i had to wait 1h10m ? Are you freaking kidding me????????? So everyone saying different thing. One said it's busy during this time, someone else said maybe the address ita wrong. Come on what are this people doing??

Firstly, please don’t post about the same item in 3 different threads.

Secondly, this arrived at Langley on the 7th December, not the 7th November. Good job I checked, because that means very different advice.

Thirdly, you asked in another thread what the Christmas rush is? Basically, the amount of mail entering the system doubles in December, when compared to other months, causing backlogs at certain pinch points.

Fourthly, the helpline are trying to help but there is a limit to how much they can know about an individual item. To all the possible reasons they gave for a short delay, add the Christmas rush and the contents. There are very strict rules on the carriage of lithium ion batteries, which all mobile phones contain, and if the packaging wasn’t exactly right then RM might have stopped it to exam it more closely. I am not saying that is the reason for the delay, but it is possible.

You asked what to do? There is nothing you can do except attempt to claim a refund from the seller if the parcel does not arrive in the time contracted. Or if you aren’t buying it, get the sender to claim for a loss if it doesn’t arrive within 5 weeks of sending.

Just to make sure you understand.

We are NOT an official Royal mail site, if you have any issues we offer advice and insight, which we have done. But ultimately you should contact Royal Mail direct if you want more than that.

Does this mean that is on custom or not? I don't get it. And when it land on the 26th November, only on the 7th December went into langley. Why that long? Now is in Langley . But has it pass the cuatom or not yet? Ridiculous that is taking ages. Do they have xray to scan or not?
If its still there, who is going to deliver? Royal mail ot other company. ?

Yes, RM have no control over Customs, in fact, its the opposite, RM have to abide by their directions.

At this time of year 2 weeks is not unusual, last year it was taking 4 weeks.

Shall i consider my item lost? I am so unlucky. Will they sort all the post and the send it to me or it's gone?
I asked the seller and said to contact them but there is no way to contact them!! And he said the address is correct so i don't know why on the phone rm said that might be the address is incomplete... Funny thing is my cover fot the phone arrived from china and i bought it 2 weeks after the phone. Phone still missing somewhere and i got this cover for no reason :(((((((((
