Hi,
I wonder if anybody could tell me what branch code 380349 is?
I've tried ringing up royal mail but they won't tell me it for some reason.
I desperately need to know where this parcel came from...
Many thanks

Branch codes have nothing to do with Royal Mail, so it isn't their information to give away. They are a Post Office thing, and they are supposed to be secret. However if you call PO Customer Services (08457 22 33 44) and ask very nicely they will often help.

I'm afraid that the customer services number is entirely automated now so there is no way of asking anyone for the branch code. I have found a list of branches online with 'Location OU codes' which was extracted through a freedom of information request - but these do not seem to be equivalent to branch codes nor do the longitude and latitude numbers, or at least not for the branch I am trying to locate. If you want to find it here is the link: https://osm.mathmos.net/postoffice/data/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you may have better luck than I did.
