In my previous office we had shorter Saturday when sdd was introduced, longer Thur/Fri. As a result I never took mailsort, ever. In fact more than mailsort got left on a number of occasions!

Playing into managements hands if you do take it...if you fancy a lighter monday take it,
Sod that, I work to my own rules - ie I don't take mailsort on Saturday regardless of whether it was left in or not!most staff have clear frame for reserves monday and reciprocated upon return.

taking mailsort on a saturday
With the mad scramble to get to the football on a saturday, loads of us leave our mailsort. Our attendance times are currently 05.30 till 12.10 but with local implementation (oh sorry NEGOTIATION... cynical me!!)
more than a possibility if this deal is accepted, my ballot paper has already been returned with a big fat NO NO NO NO NO

Re: Taking Mailsort on a Saturday
I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen such a one sided implemenation of rules and regulations, that have not even been agreed yet.South East Postie wrote:my union rep just informed me we are going to have to take mailsort on saturday soon, anyone else heard this?
If the SDD agreement states no mailsort 3 then no f***ing mailsort 3.
What is the union rep saying? He should be asking questions, like when was this introduced? Would you like to show me where this has been agreed?
Too many union reps are just giving in to this.
Whats the hidden agenda thats what I want to know? Why aren't they working FOR us???
