Letter with same tracking status for ten days

Hello everyone,

Before I end up here in this forum, I contacted Royal mail, I searched about items stuck in the Hwdc, but still, it feels so frustrating and the question stays in mind...
I posted some very important documents to Greece on the 9th of August and since then, the status is the same:'Your item is due to leave Romford Mail Centre to go to Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre.' and further down it says 'Item Despatched to Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre'. I have no clue why that happens, neither do the people to whom I called on the provided phone number... I never had this issue before and if I knew it I would probably choose another service because that literally creates me a massive problem, as there is specific deadline that this document should pass to tax authorities in Greece. I'm with my hands tied and honestly I can understand to some extend the human errors, the delays and everything, but this thing is going way too far. I still have some time until the deadline but I have no clue if the Hwdc or whoever, decide to send the mail ever. As far as I remember I paid for a service which I don't get so far and plus I get such an inconvenience that I cannot describe. In the end of the day I blame myself for choosing this service, little did I know. I hope whoever has similar issues to find solution soon, all of you I'm sorry if you're in similar situations. And I'm sorry if I wrote this as a pure complaint, it's the outburst of the frustration the services of mail or whoever caused it. But it is actually a desperate question, what is going on, or wrong??

When a parcel gets stuck at that point, it often means that the sender has contravened the regulations of the sending or receiving country or of the service. Some potential problems:

Did you write the destination country as ‘Greece’, in English and in Roman script?

Did you include books & magazines, or similar, or include cash?

Is the destination address a PO Box?

There is only a document paper inside the mail. The address is written in English, country is written as 'GREECE', and the post code is a five digit number.

Especially for the address I assume it is written properly as I sent many times in this address and I never had an issue. Would it be a problem the type of document? It's an official letter with apostille but nothing else included.. And if there is a case of an error that the item is stuck at that point, what happens next?

The contents should not be a problem. But is the address a PO Box? You can send ordinary airmail (International Standard), but there are problems with sending International Tracked & Signed to PO Boxes.

If there is a problem as described in my last post, Royal Mail will return it to you using the address you put on the back of the envelope.

No, it's not a po box for sure, it's post code of the address /Street I'm sending it
