My friend posted a article in Royal mail on 9/09/2019.
On 9th august evening tracking stated item is being sent to destination country.!
Its 17th august 2019 today parcel has not landed in india when track through india post
India post tracking says EDI Received.
What is the possibility that i’ll get the article?

You will receive it at some point.
Whenever there is a gap on the tracking between Postal Companies (like yours) it usually means its been delayed by customs.

Does that mean item is held by customs or similar or nothing to worry about?
Tracking info state edi received when i called india post toll free number they said ur article is still not received in india. So what to expect?

India Post will say its not in India, because technically until is passed through Customs it isn't.
