So I had an item being delilvered by Tracked 48 and due around Saturday last week. Around 4pm on Friday, two notifications from the retailer "your item has been delivered"... except it hadn't. The online tracking showed two separate times. I logged "missing items" complaints with the seller and RM directly, and sure enough yesterday morning's delivery brought the missing item.
I was told the PDAs have GPS tracking that can identify the location of a "delivery", but looking at the online tracking now it still shows 3 separate deliveries which does make me rather question the reliability a tad.
I appreciate the item has now come, and I doubt RM-CS are going to divulge the location of the 2 missing "deliveries", I have my suspicions as to what happened but I'm curious as to what take the regulars on this forum have..
Thanks!!

Only managers at the Delivery end, and Customer Services advisors who have Audit access can see the GPS information for scanned items.
It's quite possible that the sender had mislabelled one order and someone else got yours, however, if not they will be claiming of Royal Mail anyway.

Tracked deliveries
Thanks for the prompt reply.. one of my "I wonder" was whether someone ran out of time for their rounds and the packet was "delivered" back at the local DO. It's only about a ten minute walk from here, and the first 2 deliveries were 7 minutes apart.
I know RM get a bad press, but it's always been fine in these parts!

If that happens at my office we are meant to scan as inaccessible but have a very good reason why.
