E Stamps

Post by Snaggletooth »

'New' as in unused ... RM haven't made them for about 15 years!

As Non-Value Indicator (NVI) stamps, they are worth the whatever the appropriate postage rate is at the time of posting. E stamps cover European destinations up to 20g by International Standard, currently £1.35.

https://www.royalmail.com/personal/inte ... l-standard" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can use them to make up other values. Some health warnings though. First, other countries got very funny about NVI stamps, part of the reason that the E stamp was discontinued, so best to only use them for UK destinations. Secondly, I see from a stamp forum that people have had parcels returned because some RM staff don't recognise the E stamp, so be prepared for the odd incorrect Return To Sender.

Great, thanks for that. Yes they are unused..my fatherinlaw who passed away about 11 years ago had a couple of sheets of them as he collected first day covers and the like. :Very Happy

Do you mean queen Elizabeth 2nd or the queen mother?
