This is showing on my tracking - Your item has left our International Logistics Centre and is on its way to you. Does this mean it's through customs or if it doesn't what does it mean? I ask as there has been no change in the track status.
Thanks

My RR275652142TR tracking number parcel stuck in HWDC since 26 th of February according to Royal Mail tracking page. But when I check from parceltracking web page it says it arrived to Norfolk at 3.12 PM but just after 7 minutes later it arrived to Northern Ireland. It supposed to go to south from Turkey.
Is it normal to be there? And which page is telling the truth?

I have looked at two websites and both show it as arriving at Customs on the 16th Feb but nothing more. Could you perhaps copy and paste the tracking information relating to Norfolk / Northern Ireland?

This is the last output from Royal Mail, on 16/02:

03:12am
Item Received
LANGLEY HWDC, United Kingdom

So both say that it was at Langley at 03:12 on 16/02, but one claims that Langley is in Norfolk, which is wrong by about 100 miles. Langley is on the edge of London. Northern Ireland is about 300 miles or so from either. Where in the UK is the parcel supposed to be going to?

It supposed to be going to Eastbourne, to the south.

I think that tracking point that shows Northern Ireland is a mistake. It couldn't possibly get there in 7 minutes and it is completely the wrong direction. The only legitimate reason to send it to NI is because that is where the National Returns Centre is, they handle items with unreadable addresses and contents that are banned (e.g. tobacco). What did you send?

yes but again it s impossible to be in Northern ıreland in 7 minutes.ıt is an envolope with jewelery in box. Is that possible someone stole and put this wrong update ? f ıt s in National Returrns Centre how can I communicate with them?

Possible. But incredibly stupid as each person using a scanner has to enter their name, location and password. So unless they knew someone working in Northern Ireland, their password, and the Units details it is unlikely. If they scan and nick it the GPS Tag of each scan will identify where and when it was scanned so they will be easily identifiable.

Its only 10 days which is not a long time for Customs, especially now as they are getting ready for Brexit and the delays seem to be increasing.

TrueBlueTerrier Please could you tell me if you think my parcel is also being delayed in Customs?

I ordered two parcels from the USA on the same day, one was sent by the USPS's First-Class Package International Service and that has arrived and the other was sent by the USPS's Priority Mail International Parcel service.

The Priority Mail International Parcel seems to be stuck in limbo some where, this is the last update that I can view on the USPS website.

"May 21, 2019, 11:05 am
Departed
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
Your item departed a transfer airport in HEATHROW, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM on May 21, 2019 at 11:05 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination."
https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmA ... 35619US%2C" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I contacted Parcelforce and asked " Can you please update the Parcelforce tracking info for this inbound parcel or tell me where the parcel actually is?" and they sent the following reply.

"I have checked our tracking systems and can confirm that your parcel hasn't arrived in the Parcelforce Worldwide network yet.

London AMU is not a Parcelforce site and we only take physical receipt of a parcel once it is scanned into our Coventry International Hub. As the parcel is not in our network yet, we are unable to investigate your parcel as this can only be done once it arrives into the UK."

I now know that the AMU is the Royal Mail's "Address Management Unit", surely the AMU just collects data or do they also sort inbound mail?

After reading a few threads I am aware that Customs can't be held accountable for delays and that they is no point complaining as it's not going to help me.

I am just frustrated as I do not know if the package has departed a transfer airport in HEATHROW or if Customs have the package or if the AMU has hold of it?

It just seems a shame that the very first time I order something from the USA via the USPS's Priority Mail that it gets held up:(

The only reason I had originally contacted Parcelforce was because there Tracking website has not been updated since the package left the USA, I am aware that the package has only been in limbo for 7 days but I do not know why the Parcelforce Tracking website is not at least as up to date as the USPS’s Tracking website

Your parcel is being prepared for export and will soon be leaving its origin country.

AMU is also the Air Movement Unit.

The tracking scans are standard for USPS to Parcelforce as USPS scan items before they hand them over to Customs, they are the only carrier that does this routinely.

Its a case of hanging on and checking the tracking occasionally, there will be a slight delay because we have just had a bank holiday here, but hopefully it will be released over the next few days.

The normal cause of delays at HWDC is customs, if an item is stuck in customs then there's nothing that either Royal Mail or the sending postal service can do
