A parcel was shipped to me a while ago from Hong Kong, Registered Air Mail I believe, and the Royal Mail Tracking page said it was Delivered on Monday the 28th, however I have not received said item so far. I live in student halls at uni so there is always someone at reception to collect parcels, and they log it into the system for you to collect. There is a signature for delivery signed for by 'SA', which none of the receptionists claim to be theirs, they also say that 'SA' is not the initials of anyone working there. They suggested that the signature perhaps was from someone at the delivery office signing to receive the item. So I went to the delivery office mentioned on the Tracking page and asked around there, they scanned the tracking number and said that they could only see that it had been through the delivery office, and that they couldn't see the final address nor any further details. The guy then said something about the tracking number not being connected to/not bringing up the address or something along those lines, I didn't completely understand. I checked my original order details and the correct shipping address is on there, and I assume must have been on the parcel too to have made it all the way to the local delivery office!
My question therefore is where could the parcel be, if it's not at the depot, reception don't have it behind the counter, someone somewhere has signed and taken possession of it, reception don't even recognise the provided signature??
A further question is where do i stand with making a claim? I am aware that I have no hard evidence of not receiving the item, seeing as 'mystery man' has signed for it, so the sender only has my word to go on that I do not have it, and I would be understanding if they would be unwilling to refund me the price given the tracking information.
Oh and the tracking number is RD002941222HK.
Thanks

Are the contents of the parcel something that could potentially have got a customs charge?

It isn't that early. I usually start delivering at about 0800 and a couple of other posties in our DO are usually out before that. The 9am SDs have to be delivered before 9am but touchwood I don't get those very often.leolion855 wrote:how far is your address from the delivery office, 9:08am is a very early delivery if your not close by.

We have just started following all the rules so we aren't getting out that early anymore. More like between 0830 & 0900 now.NewPostieUK wrote:Wow, I don't even start until 9:30.Celgar wrote: I usually start delivering at about 0800 and a couple of other posties in our DO are usually out before that.
