Help and advise please
Hi everyone and I must say very thankful to have found this site. So here goes I sent 2 parcels special delivery next day b4 1 on the 20th of December and according to tracking both parcels arrived at 10.23 the following day and were signed for although the named signed is not the addressee which is all good and well but unfortunately the recipient is denying all knowledge of delivery and states he was not home at the said time of delivery he has done as I asked and checked neighbours and also a similar address nearby but no success I have telephoned customer services with this query who have said they will look into it but to all intent they have completed the service offered. So my question is where do I stand as this was a sale made on ebay and paid via Paypal and the money has now been returned to the buyer. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated I declared the value of each package at around £500. Many thanks in advance for your help

You need to make a claim for each item using the P58inland form, showing proof of the value of each item.
Royal Mail deliver to addresses, not people. So the question is not whether the named addressee was in, but rather, did Royal Mail deliver to the correct address? That will determine the success of your claim.

Royal Mail will be able to tell exactly where the items were signed for using the GPS data from the PDA so after investigation if the position of the company is that the items were delivered correctly then the only reasonable explanation is that you're being scammed by the recipient or someone at that address.
