I don't know how you people do it physically/ mentally. Fair play to you. I've had my fingers burnt too many times for me to do overtime.
It's a lot easier than it looks.

Even over 6 days I don't think that's possible. Unless they don't sleep.

6 ten hour days ain’t hard. I’m 99% sure they don’t mean 60 on top of their contract.

Yep got mine, nice to know I only got it pro-rata even though I've been averaging around 48 hours a week for the last 3 weeks, whilst full timers who only worked their hours got a bigger bonus than me.

This company really knows how to make it's employees feel valued.

I'll confess it's been challenging this last couple of weeks. I never take a rest day and do 5 collections a week most weeks, but the last 10 or so days have been insane in terms of volumes. The last 2 days I've just not been there mentally; even went to deliver a parcel into the wrong street the other day which is unheard of for me. Physically and mentally I'm shattered and am just glad the Christmas pressure is over.

This is my second Christmas with RM and I learned my lesson last time, eating up all that creamy docket and burning myself out. This time I've paced myself. Start on time after taking kids to school (didn't have to do that last year) and giving them an hour overtime every day except Saturdays. What doesn't get done comes back ...not my problem. I put in a good shift, not my worry that I'd have to stay out til six to clear it and I don't want to

Result? No stress, smile on my face and looking forward to Christmas day with my family. I'm lucky I guess, being old enough to stand up for myself and money no longer being my god. I've been looking at and talking to some of my colleagues past couple of days and they're f***ing frazzled, man. It's the newbies I feel so sorry for, they being in the same situation as I was last year. Management taking the piss and dumping all over them cos they know they're too worried about probationary periods to say no.

Several people have said it on here past few weeks and they're so right. It's about finding that right mindset. I'm so glad I have.

Merry Christmas, everyone. :cuppa

To be honest, I wouldn't do any overtime if I didn't need the money. Days off, long weekends, no hanging around till 3 or 4 till my collection starts; it'd be lovely! Need the money currently though. Give me a year or 2 and I'll start slowing up.

wacko - next year why not get the manager to make you up to Temp Full Time contract? If you're working the hours why not get a little
bit extra? It's just their way of trying to save a little bit here and there which you could be entitled to!!

I got moved up to 38 hours for Xmas yet didn’t get the full 200. £100 and then £85. Little annoying but never mind. Done 6 days 6-4pm most days. I personally have had my favourite Xmas yet, loved the increases in parcels and the challenges it brings. I break my round down into 3 parts and only take out each 1/3 at a time so makes it a lot easier to keep things in order. Tried that cbd oil stuff from CBD Brothers which seems to have had a huge calming effect on em and seems to help me think more clearly and work more efficiently. Highly recommend it.

I believe you are due £15 top-up in January.

From the 2016 Christmas Pay Supplement documentation:

2. Part Time Employees.
"Part time employees are entitled to the Christmas supplement on a pro rata basis. They will receive the payment pro-rata to a full time week according to their contracted hours on the date payment is made. Part-time employees that vary their contractual hours and work full-time for a two-week period during the Christmas pressure period (between Monday 28th November 2016 and Friday 23rd December 2016) will be paid the Christmas supplement in full. Note that overtime or scheduled attendance hours DO NOT contribute towards payment calculation."

".... As in previous years, any necessary top up payments for Part Time
or 35 hr Full time employees will be made in January 2019 in accordance with the actual hours worked at standard rate, beyond contractual during 2018"

Hi

Can anyone tell me how many hours you need to work to pick up double pay?

I’m contracted to 28, but worked 15 hours overtime and wondered if I should have got an enhanced rate for some of those?

My payslip shows plain rate for all.

Cheers

Double pay????? :left: :left:

If you're a bog standard postie, officially you should get what is listed on my pay chit as 'Weekday Overtime @ SSPR' to take you
up to 38 hrs working time and then what is called 'Weekday OT1 1st 10Hrs rate' after that.

So if you've worked 15hrs OT you should get 10hrs at SSPR (28 contracted hours plus 10 SSPR OT to take you up to working 38hrs) and then 5hrs at 1st 10hrs rate.

The SSPR rate includes the delivery supplement. OT that takes you above 38hrs working time does not include delivery supplement.

Thank you.

Lol, I was told over 40 hours was double pay when I started but wondered if it had dropped to 38 now. As that info was wrong, it explains my recent payslip.

Dividing the amount by the hours tho, my OT 1st 10 hours rate of pay is higher than SSPR rate?
