Yes email the CEO - he seems to be on the ball. This is absolutely diabolical though. In all my years I have never met anything like it. We should not be having to chase things up like this. Capita have had or will get £31 M to administer our pensions
Agree entirely Dennis, but am currently finding it even worse than diabolical. It's now a week since I sent everything in and despite previous quick replies by email (after Richard Kirwan got involved things started to happen) it all seems to have reverted back to a black hole ..... not a peep from anyone. I've had no acknowledgement that they have my forms and nothing about when my pension & lumps sum will be paid. Now worried pension not going to make December payment, if it doesn't then it'll be in arrears and dread to think how they'll cope with that.

It's appalling (is that worse than diabolical ?) that at every step I have to chase things up. Will be emailing Richard Kirwan again next week and if still no reply then going back to Jon Lewis. Though I wonder if he'll start ignoring us too soon - he must be getting fed up by now.

Keep at it everyone, I don't think we can afford not to chase things up, pain though it is, otherwise I think we slip back down the pile again.

Appalling - diabolical - words cannot describe it. I sent my forms off with original birth-certificate yesterday, I live in hope but actually think that they will be ignored or lost too - my pension is not far off two months late. I contacted the cabinet office a while ago - no reply. I contacted the CWU twice but no reply either (I'm not a member now though). Both the cabinet office and the CWU should be banging on capita's door about it as there are clearly issues. And who oversees the transition team? I agree that Jon Lewis will quickly get fed up but he's still our best hope (I think he's probably fed up of capita too and it must be demoralising for him having to pick up this mess, at the end of the day he shouldn't have to be dealing with these issues and I bet he's wondering what on earth he's let himself in for. That said, he has the power to get something done about it). It is very worrying and it should not be like this. I think in the end it will come to some kind of class action. Where is the union? Try to have a capita free weekend if you can, put it out of your mind until Monday - your health is the most important thing. keep postung.

Every one of you affected should also contact your local MPs. It doesn't affect me as I'm a few years off retirement, but it does genuinely concern me AND makes me a little angry. The job, especially for those in delivery is hard enough. You deserve your pension, and you deserve it to be paid correctly and on time! DON'T give up. Why don't you coordinate you campaign and exchange details, encourage your MPs to speak to the other affected members MPs?

I think my MP will be my next point of call and maybe coordinated action after Christmas (I've got a yellow high viz vest ready) . My forms have arrived at capita today so I shall have to give them a chance to process them I suppose. Everything should be so straight forward for them once they have all the details and I even put a cover letter with the forms highlighting that their CEO had advised priority in dealing with this and copied his email in to show them that he could be monitoring things - so if they get this wrong now, but they have a dreadful reputation. If you type capita into wikipedia you'll see a catalogue of errors. Thanks for your support everyone - keep posting

Hi Guys,

I have just had an email from the Cabinet Office having informed them about my failed pension 21st Nov. Dominic Arthur apologised for the way Capita treated me.

That's good news Dennis - hopefully your case will be flagged up now and Capita will be getting on with it. Will you be able to post on here Dominic Arthur's email address ? I have a feeling I (and probably others) may be needing it. Even if my pension appears soon .....oohh , look a pig just flew by ...... I'm following on with my complaint about the whole thing. It's beyond ridiculous and I'll be writing to my MP and the Cabinet Office. I did have a look at the Cab O link posted earlier which gives a general enquiries email address but sending one to a named person is better if I can.

In the meantime, all my forms, certificates etc. sent in a week ago, still waiting to hear about my pension & lump sum, I'll give it another day or so and then I'll be chasing, again, think another email to Jon Lewis (and Dominic Arthur) may be coming up. I'll let you know how things develop. Fingers crossed you - and everyone else waiting - hear something soon.

I went through the cabinet office email address initially which is:
publiccorrespondence@cabinetoffice.gov.uk

The email I had from Dominic Arthur (which I just clicked the reply button to answer) was from:
scheme.managementexecutive@cabinetoffice.gov.uk

I'm not sure if this was his personal email address or that of a department within the cabinet (perhaps capita can sort that one out for me if I but ask -ha ha) Sorry I've just been hit on the head by a flying pig! Will keep you informed about my journey. Keep posting and good luck to all.

Hello everybody. I've been told that I have to claim my pension due 26 December 2018. And I cannot defer it. I sent the forms off to RM Pensions back in September and requested a valuation. Got a letter back in October stating that everything had been transferred to Capita. Sent them an Email requesting the same. Got nothing back since. Anybody know the Capita contact Email address as I'm not sure I have the right one. Thanks. Terry C.

Hi, I'm no expert so this is only my limited understanding ....... but thought you could defer any pension until it becomes payable at the pension scheme retirement age, so depends on which pension you're looking at claiming - there are so many different RM ones now, Section B, Section C, and since those closed other new ones with new names, and they have different "payable at" ages too, some are age 60 other age 65.

I may be wrong but i also thought that not all pensions have gone to Capita, I think the existing scheme, if you're still employed by RM is still being run by RM ?

Whatever your pension is the general enquiries contacts for Capita are on their website , here's a link, https://www.royalmailsps.co.uk/contact-us" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and you might want to start with emailing and/or phoning them to see where that gets you. But you'll have seen from some of the posts on this thread that Capita are dealing with an overload of work and struggling with it so when you do contact them it's best to stay on top of it and chase it up if they don't reply when they say they will and then escalate things if needs be. Good luck.

Hi Terry, welcome to this capita complaints thread. The email address for capita that I used is:
enquiries@rmsps.co.uk

Hope this helps but you'll probably get the standard reply saying how important your enquiries are to us and that they aim to reply within ten working days... and then they just ignore you... like the rest of us. Good luck and keep posting as we are building evidence and a bit of a community.

Update ..... been told by Capita that the processing "cut off" for December pensions is 17th. So Dennis if you've not heard anything about yours you might want to get onto them again. Think in a previous post you'd said Richard Kirwan and Jordan Peters had responded to you before - not sure if one of them could check it for you ? I've not had any dealings with Jordan but if it helps I've found that emailing Richard Kirwan usually moves things along .....I'm hoping it moves fast enough for the cut off date. Fingers crossed.

Thank you - I sent my forms last Thursday 6th and had a confirmation signature to say they arrived 10th (last Monday). I haven't heard anything as yet and I find this infuriating seeing as they are aware that their CEO and the Cabinet Office are on the case (you'd think they'd have at least offered an acknowledgement of receipt or something, but just as with you - nothing.) I was going to leave it until Friday to get back to the Cabinet Office but I'm onto Richard Kirwan straight away. Appreciate your support - thanks and good luck - keep posting!

Thanks Dennis. Done the enquiries@rmps.co.uk 6 times. No reply. My old Union Rep told me it has been abandoned but not shut down. The phone rings out as well. Looks like I will have to find Capita's Email address for RM Pensions. Can anybody help?

Terry,
If you click on the link in my earlier post (a couple back) you'll find the the email address and the phone number ..... here it is again https://www.royalmailsps.co.uk/contact-us" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .......... Both those are live and in use.

You'll see the email address on the link is the same one Dennis gave you, it is definitely working (but Capita do take a while to reply) and you'll see it's different to the one you say you've used already .... there's an extra "s" in it ......its rmsps not rmps you've said you used. There's a few different schemes now - got to watch the abbreviations !

If you're still employed by RM I think the current pensions scheme is the royal mail pesniosn plan here's a link for that one.https://www.royalmailpensionplan.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You need to check which pension scheme you're in/trying to get your pension from and then contact the right people.
