Hi all, I was wondering whether you could help me. I live in Pershore, Worcestershire, and for the last 3 weeks or so it's taken 5 days or more to receive any 1st class post.
Most of these items were off eBay, so I naturally thought that they had just said they'd posted the item and then waited a couple of days before actually sending it. However, my friend sent me an item in the post 4 days ago and it still hasn't arrived (post has already been today). I'm wondering whether anyone could enlighten me on what may be going on or whether I should contact somebody at Royal Mail about this?
It might also be worth mentioning that I've been purchasing items from the US and they have arrived perfectly fine and on time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated; thank you everyone

Royal Mail 1st Class Taking Up To 5 Days?
Unfortunately it's been the same for me. A 1st class recorded took 2 weeks. I think it's only going to get worse too.

I am in Northern Ireland and at times before I moved it could take up to 4 days to a week.
EBay and other important letters keep getting jammed up in the West of Ireland to the point were I just get them shipped to Dublin and then to me

Hi. A parcel I posted 1st class signed for hasn’t moved from post office. I’m worried because the post office worker asked me what was in my parcel and it was an iPhone. The parcel hasn’t moved for 3 days. Does the parcel get scanned once it’s left the PO

Post Office clerks are supposed to ask what is inside every parcel. With regards the time taken, you used a non-guaranteed service and mail volumes are high at the moment due to Christmas.
