Am expecting a parcel from China. Several tracking sites say it left for Heathrow on Nov 14th. Royal mail tracking says they haven't received it yet. Surely they have or they wouldn't recognise the tracking number?

It could be held up in customs - a delay does seem to be building there.

All Postal companies like Royal Mail and China Post usually inform each other electronically when an item leaves there jurisdiction on route to the other, this does mean that RM systems can recognise a tracking number for an item that is not yet in their own pipeline.

Yes that does sound like its delayed in Customs.
