Hi,
I have been sent a parcel from North America.
It arrived in the international hub last Monday (05/11)
And that is the last update I have had.
It seems to be like it hasn't even been processed into customs?
Can anyone shed some light as I'm getting worried.
Is this a standard time to wait?
Thanks!

If it has been scanned by USPS then it has been passed to customs for their checks. Unfortunately, there is no way officially to track items in Customs, and now that we are ramping up to Christmas there will be delays in them processing stuff.
If it is a trackable service then you should see another update as it passes through HWDC to the next Mail Centre.

Arrived in the UK - Stuck!
Thanks for the reply TrueBlue!!
I have seen a lot of other threads like this where people are seeing updates like 'Awaiting customs clearance' however, it doesn't seem like my package has even been processed into customs. All I am getting is 'Arrived in the UK' since (05/11)
Do you think this could just be a backlog and that eventually it will get processed?
Seems very strange
thanks

At this time of year, yes, I think its just the volume of stuff going through.
Even on deliveries, we are at Christmas levels of parcels now and I can see international items are getting delayed already.

Arrived in the UK - Stuck!
Thanks!!
You mentioned earlier about USPS but this came from Canada, would that have been scanned straight into customs?
Still no change, all it has said for 9 days now is 'Arrived in the UK'
I wonder what it could be!

It could be possible, but normally only USPS do that scan as a matter of course, Canada Post could so the same but not heard of them doing so till now.damokachi wrote:Thanks!!

Still nothing 10 days since 'arrived in the UK'
Getting worried the package is now lost or damaged.
Is it common for a backlog like this?
I have spoke to parcel force who have sent someone out to look for the package but haven't heard back from them either
Thanks

This close to Christmas it's not uncommon for Customs to have a backlog, last year it got as long as 4 weeks, hopefully, they have streamlined the process.damokachi wrote:Is it common for a backlog like this?
The good news is that it should only take a day or two to get to you once RM starting tracking it.

I know the feeling.
I know the feeling.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

You have revived a thread that is nearly 4 years old. Unlikely that the original poster will respond.Studentoflife wrote: ↑05 Jun 2022, 08:17Hello wanted to ask you did u receive yours ?

If you mean that it has been in the international hub since the 30th May then that is only 2-3 working days for customs, given the recent bank holidays, so isn't actually that long.
If it doesn't move over the next couple of working days, and you want further reassurance, I suggest you post the tracking information and a description of the contents on this forum.
