I ordered something from eBay for my Dad, and entered his address for delivery but put my postcode by mistake. They are both in Telford with a TF1 postcode, so it's just the last three digits which are wrong.
I contacted the eBay seller about 15 minutes after the order was placed to ask them to change the postcode, but they replied the next day to say it had already been sent.
The item is a fancy dress costume which we need to be delivered by Saturday at the latest (it's Monday today, it was due by Wednesday).
My question therefore is - what will likely happen to the parcel? Will the last part of the postcode be ignored, or will that cause a lot of issues? I understand it will at least make it to Telford, but what will happen then...?
Thanks

As its the same postcode sector it should be delivered as normal.
As long as the street name is correct, (posties sorting the parcels go by the address, not the postcode) any delay should be minimal. In fact if your addresses are not far apart its even possible both addresses are on the same delivery duty.
