Hello all, I just wanted to know your view on International standard to send light large letters outside of Europe.

I send quite a few large letters, but I have been getting customers ask where their item is, and this is over 15 working days later. I don't know if I should continue using International standard as it seems quite unreliable and delivery times don't match the 5 - 7 working days most of the time sadly.

I fill out the CN22 with the price (all items are below £15) in hopes that this helps speed things up at customs.

Is there any advice anyone could give me that deals with sending to countries outside of Europe?

Thanks!

Chances are that the delays are caused in customs, delays in customs are something that no postal operator/courier has any control over. Some country's customs are stricter than others.

What are you sending? The contents are often a cause of delays, and a better description on the CN22 might help.

In answering my previous question, it would be useful to know the destination country where you had a problem, e.g. “I was sending plastic bangles to the USA”.
