Can anyone clarify the regulations for sending Lithium batteries within the United Kingdom? I sell consumer electronics, including used equipment and occasionally need to send a new replacement battery to a customer. Am I allowed to do this with the correct labeling?

I have (tried to) read this and other IATA documents but still do not understand how they relate to a consignment within the United Kingdom. Do these same regulations apply to inland mail? or are there different restrictions for domestic mail?

This may help for both UK inland and International https://business.help.royalmail.com/app ... l/a_id/867" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The regulations apply to Royal Mail because we transport a fair old amount of items by air, we have to as we need to comply with the USO.

Yes, I understand that, but what then is the purpose of RMDG23D4 and RMDG24D5 labels? It would appear that these are to be used in connection with shipping lithium batteries. It's the necesary controls and packaging requirements that I am trying to find.

Thank you for your prompt responses and your patience with this relative newbies lack of knowledge.
