Royal Mail Tracked 48™

Post by raydj2003 »

Hi, I have a delivery which is Royal Mail Tracked 48™, I've been checking if it at my Local Delivery office, but the status shows "Your item has reached South Midlands Mail Centre and will now be sent to your local delivery office." It has been like this since 8:38PM yesterday (02/03/2018). But the status is still the same until now. Normally my deliveries will be at the Brinklow DO by 7:00AM, but it seems not. The weather in my area is better and the snow isn't intense, and MK8-mk12++ didn't appear on the closures on the closures list from the service update page. Will my item be delivered today.

Split from a sticky.

We cannot guarantee it as we are not Royal Mail

However, neither can Royal Mail as the delivery promises have been suspended since Wednesday when the bad weather hit. The weather has caused a backlog at Mail Centres and Delivery offices, and whilst us posties will be working hard there is simply no way of getting 3 or 4 days mail delivered in one day, especially with snow and ice slowing us down even if the conditions are better.

Most offices will clear as soon as they can and probably the vast majority should be up to date by Tuesday.

Also, the closure list is just that a closure list, it doesn't show offices that have attempted a limited delivery service, it looks like yours is one of them.
