Lets have a look - Cut off = work doesn't get donefishtank wrote:Where's your evidence for that?if everyone stuck to the rules then there would be massive investment, walks would be smaller, more staff, manageable workloads.
We are already considered inefficient by the regulator.
How would it look if they put in more "massive investment" to do the same amount of work? How would we pay for this "massive investment, more staff and manageable workloads?"
There's a lot of naivete as far as what Royal Mail would actually do if everyone started "doing the job properly" and resultant labour costs suddenly increased dramatically. I know from experience what they wouldn't do and that's shrug their shoulders and get the cheque book out.
If we all stuck to the rules we would probably already be on Amazon style terms and conditions, it's the only way the business could keep the cost per item down.
Stop overtime = work doesn't get done
RM want the work doing = No choice except to invest otherwise they fail
It's not rocket science!
