Track and Trace-Delivery to Wrong Country

Post by Onanna »

Hello,

I recently made an order online on a UK website. Parcel was shipped to me yesterday, as an International Tracked and Signed item. I clicked on the link I was provided with for the track&trace service on the Royal Mail website, and it says that "item has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in France"...and the parcel shows up on the tracking servicce of the French postal service. Problem is, I live in Denmark, and I have confirmed with the seller that the address they sent it to is the correct one...what can I do now? Is it possible that it is going to be re-directed to Denmark, or is my parcel going to be lost somewhere in France  ? I have never had that issue with Royal Mail before, all my orders have been going straight from the UK to Copenhagen...

It happens occasionally but yes it will either be returned to the UK for Royal Mail to correct their mistake, or it will be routed to Denmark by the French operator.
